Impact fertilisers have been developed to promote healthy, strong turf. Comprising a number of different nutrients in a variety of formulations, Impact fertilisers are highly effective on all soil types with differing base nutrient levels. The fertilisers have been designed to work throughout the year and across a wide range of climates. Impact fertilisers are available in standard and slow release formulations, a range of different granule sizes and with various advanced, technological coatings.

Impact fertilisers incorporate a number of environmental factors, helping them to promote sustainable turf. Seaweed is also added to several of the products within the Impact range, allowing them to utilise all of its many benefits to help encourage healthy and aesthetically pleasing turf. Slow release fertilisers (SRF) have the ability to provide nutrients to the plant when most needed. These fertlilsers take care of the changing needs of the plant and support the seasonal growth process. The nitrogen in the slow release fertilisers is either released by hydrolysis or by microbial activity in the soil. There is far less leaching, meaning fewer applications - a major benefit to the greenkeeper or groundsman - as well as the obvious environmental benefits.

There are a mixture of chain lengths in our SRF methylene urea granular fertilisers. These different chain lengths provide different nitrogen release times to ensure the plant always has the required nitrogen input. The urea releases first, providing initial green up. Monomethylene urea releases second and methylene diurea third. The final release phase is polymethylene urea. These four stages release the nitrogen regularly over 8-12 weeks.

Our controlled release fertilisers (CGF) are all based on PSCU (polymer sulphur coated urea). PSCU fertilisers use a release mechanism based on moisture, giving longevities of up to 24 weeks, based on the level of the coating.

The Impact range also contains fertiliser spreaders to help ensure that the application rates, and therefore the applied nutrient levels recommended by Indigrow are achieved.
