Product: Crossfire
Crossfire 480 is an insecticide for the control of leatherjackets and frit fly in sports and amenity turf. Crossfire 480 contains 480g per litre Chlorpyrifos. Crossfire 480 may be applied at any time from the beginning of November. Where high larval populations are detected or damage is first seen. Early treatment is recommended prior to spring when most damage is likely to occur.
Crossfire 480 is applied to the turf, where it moves into the upper profile of the soil surface. Once in place it is not subject to leaching. The leatherjackets feeding close to the soil surface are controlled by digestion, contact and vapour actions. The Crossfire 480 remains effective for up to eight weeks.
Product: Merit Turf
Merit Turf is an insecticide for the control of Chafer Grubs and Leatherjackets in turf.
Merit Turf contains 5g/Kg Imidacloprid. Merit Turf can be used as an insecticide for control of chafer grubs and leatherjackets on golf courses, bowling greens, athletic fields, commercial and residential lawns and other managed amenity turf situations. The active ingredient in Merit Turf has sufficient residual activity so that applications should be made prior to the egg laying activities of the target pests.
Apply Merit Turf uniformly over the area being treated with normally used granular application equipment. Hand held, drop type and rotary type spreaders may be used to apply Merit Turf. Avoid the use of spreaders that would apply the granule in narrow, concentrated bands. For large scale application, the ATV Merit Applicator is recommended.
